begin quote from Bernanke article: Bernanke speaks, "High rates of delingquency and foreclosure can have substantial spillover effects on the housing market, the financial markets and the broader economy," Bernanke said in a dinner speech to Columbia Business School in New York. "Therefore doing what we can to avoid preventable foreclosures is not just in the interests of lenders and borrowers. It's in everybody's interest," he said. Endquote.

begin quote: Some 1.5 million US homes entered into the foreclosure process last year, up 53 percent from 2006, Bernanke said. The rate of new foreclosures looks likely to be even higher this year, he said. Endquote.

The President, the Congress, the Fed, are all good at talking while the nation bleeds.
Don't they see this could be fatal to the nation? The nation like most people only has so much blood. Once that blood is bled out(in this case money, resources etc) they are gone gone gone! There will be no one left to tax to run the government. There will be no one left to pay into social security taxes. There will be no one left to do anything if the Government doesn't step up to the plate! If they don't it will be much worse that 1929! We are watching instead of a quick fatality the slow bleeding out of America. It is like the patient in an ER ward that gets overlooked because he just got cut on a piece of glass on his foot. I know from personal experience if you walk on a foot with a bad cut all your blood leaks right out as long as you try to walk on it. The same is true of the lifeblood of our country. Wake up people before it is too late! People are slowly bleeding to death out here.

Note: I just did an average. The amount of homes foreclosed since January 1st 2008 would be 3,129+ for each of the 50 states if we were to average them out among all states.
