The Occupy Movement Continues to Morph

I'm presently 63, so the "Occupy" movement reminds me a lot of the Anti-War movement of the 1960s and early 1970s until the Viet Nam War ended. However, the real difference in this movement is people aren't demonstrating because their friends are being drafted and dying, they are demonstrating because there aren't enough jobs for people to work at to feed themselves in the Western World anymore. So, until there either are enough jobs or opportunities to start a business or jobs with the government like the Civilian Conservation Core during the Great Depression, it is quite likely that it will continue to morph until it finds a way (or many ways) of accomplishing its goals everywhere in the western world.

Even though I would hope a movement like this could be successful worldwide I know that in places like China it could not. The main reason for this is the Chinese tradition that believes democracy can't work for a nation as large as China. However, I think the Chinese should look at India which is the world's largest democratic nation on earth. Also, I think as more and more Chinese are educated that democracy (Chinese style) (which could be completely unique to that country) will slowly emerge as more and more people become wealthier and better educated over the next 50 to 100 years.

The Occupy movement likely will not stop growing and changing and morphing until all the goals are met enough for all the people now demonstrating to have jobs, places to live, clothes to wear and food to eat long term, in addition to the capacity to become college educated without going bankrupt in the process. This appears to be the future of this movement nationwide and worldwide.
