Understanding 2012 by understanding 2011 better: Jan and Feb

2045

I know that there is some limit to how many word buttons I can put on a  blog article page but I probably haven't reached that limit yet.

So far I have only looked at January and February blog articles from 2011. And so far even just looking at the word button titles to articles we have a lot of information just from two months of blogging things that stood out to me from all over the internet. First the incredible storm over the Grapevine into Los Angeles with snow, 90 mph winds that shut down Interstate 5.
"A cold front that originated in the Pacific Northwest brought chilly rains, heavy snow and wind gusts of up to 90 miles per hour to the Grapevine, prompting the California Highway Patrol to shut down Interstate 5 from Castaic to the Kern County line. More than 100 vehicles were stranded, some disabled by the snow. Others tried to take back roads and became stuck in mud." end quote from blog article.

If you live or ever have lived in California you likely know that this is very very unusual for Southern California. I don't remember anything this bad over the Grapevine into the Los Angeles Basin in my lifetime. So, chock this one up to either "extreme anomaly" or Global Climate Change. And not only that I had to directly deal with this problem because my son's car broke down and I had to go rescue him in the middle of this mess by driving down Hiway 101 and getting stuck in a "traffic Jam of epic proportions in Atascadero?" If you have ever been there you would realize how funny this would be. Atascadero is the last place you would have an epic Los Angeles Style traffic jam for hours and hours. It would be a 1 in 1000 or 1 in 10,000 or more odds against this happening ever this remote.(unless it was the day before Thanksgiving or the Day before Christmas).

in "Poverty makes people Spineless" we have an illustration of why we don't want too many Americans to lose everything the next 10 to 20 years during this downturn and regrouping here in the U.S. When people lose everything they usually won't fight for anything because they have already lost everything.

Bumble Bees In US Suffer Sharp Decline, Joining Countless Other Species

 In  .

"North American bees are disappearing at a rapid rate, signaling a dire threat to the production of countless food sources. The Guardian reports that four common species of U.S. bumble bees have declined 96 percent in recent decades, and scientists allege that disease and inbreeding are responsible.
Honey bees have long been known to be in decline, suffering from the enigmatic colony collapse disorder, and the latest research on U.S. bumble bees only exacerbates concerns over future food production, as bees are responsible for pollinating 90 percent of the world's commercial plants, from fruits and vegetables to coffee and cotton".end quote.
