Desertification of the U.S. ?

It may have finally come to this where the actual desertification of a lot of the  U.S. is beginning to actually happen. This is one of the many signs along with increasing velocity of winds that scientists have long predicted was one of the long term consequences of Global Warming and Global Climate change. It might also be important to note that scientists have also said that the average temperature at the north pole was once 76 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, that is the average temperature year around for every time of day so in actuality there could be a variation of 30 degree to 100 degrees or something like that year around. But imagine for example, the North Pole to be a similar climate to Hawaii and to realize this was a real thing!

So, with the news of a barge on the upper Mississippi River getting stuck yesterday because of not enough water to keep it afloat there is concern that the river will have to be closed to all barge traffic soon north to south.

Also, it is possible that the Colorado River Could dry up for a short time late this summer or fall. And I guess my question is: "Is this a sign of potential desertification of some of the more southern parts of the U.S. ? The answer is: "Maybe". However, one of the other strange things about Global Climate Change is that everything is in extremes like extreme droughts, extreme floods, extreme winds etc.

So, extreme everything is part of the proof that Global Warming is here and a growing concern to everyone. Some people don't believe it but then there were people who didn't believe we ever went to the moon or that planes could fly too. Some people just can't deal with change at all.

It is not our job to prove anything to them. It is our job to migrate and to survive even if they don't choose to. So, just make sure you survive all this even if the doubters don't.
