Power Outages as of today

735,663 in New Jersey
428,412 in New York
35,253 in West Virginia
31,785 in Connecticut
31,710 in Pennsylvania
statistics from: The Weather Channel

The problem here of course is the cold nights (below freezing mostly) without power or heat in these homes and unsanitary conditions likely as a result of no hot water to wash dishes or clothes or bodies or hands with.

In addition to this the new storm arrives Tuesday Night and Wednesday with 50 to 60 mile per hour winds, snow inland and likely more power outages from already weakened and still vulnerable trees all over the New England States.
statistics from Weather Channel. Now confirmed expected gusts over 60 mph from storm.

Tuesday highs in:                 Wednesday High Thursday High
Pittsburgh 48 (Fahrenheit)        47                    46
Buffalo     42                              43                    41
Syracuse    44                             45                    40
Burlington 37                             42                     36
Washington DC 48                      44                    50
Philadelphia       48                     41                    42
New York city    44                     41                     44
Boston                42                     44                      44

So, if your power is out in any of these areas unless you have safe heating and venting you likely should find someplace to stay warm and safe now before the storm hits.
