Is the Chinese Communist party fracturing?

According to the following quote from this article there is evidence that the party in China is fracturing. However, I think you have to realize that in a single party system that there are always going to be factions that might be thought of a little like we think of the Democratic and Republican parties and Independents and others here in the U.S. To say there is a single party running anything anywhere isn't realistic. There are always factions and it appears these factions are all pretty upset right now there.
Begin quote:

(Reuters) The one thing the West has taken for granted in China is that the Chinese Communist Party is unified behind its leadership. But now, under the pressure of an economic slowdown and a stock market in free fall, we are likely seeing the CCP fracture in a way we've never seen before.
It seems some factions within the party are turning away from President Xi Jinping behind closed doors and at high-level retreats.
This is what we know.
