Human based Technological Singularity

Here is a true statement: "a child in Africa with a smartphone has more access to answers and information regarding almost everything on earth than President Clinton did while he was President of the United States."

Think about this for a moment:

of what is being said in this statement. This wasn't true until the invention of smartphones either. Presently there are at least 5 billion cellphones and smartphones on earth. This is more cellphones and smartphones that there are flush toilets on earth. So, people have cellphones and smart phones where there is no lines of electricity at all and they charge their cellphones and smartphones with solar cells. So, they could literally be hundreds of miles from the nearest person in the middle of a desert or on top of a mountain somewhere as long as they can get a signal in or out of wherever they are on earth.

The explosion of information spreading now across all mankind through it's children, young adults, and adults of all ages is unheard of during the complete history of mankind.

Think about this for a moment:

When I was growing up and I had a question about anything at all, I could ask an adult who may or may not know the answer to this question. Or if the question made them uncomfortable they might make something up so I would have misinformation or I could go to my book shelf in my home and I had there an encyclopedia. But, by the time I was 10 or 12 this encyclopedia was dated and was already almost 6 years old. So, if this was something new I could go to the library to ask this question of a librarian to direct me to the most recent publications regarding whatever it was.

As a result of this, unless you lived in a city or a town with a library and you really really wanted to know or understand about something it might take you days or weeks to find out the answer to this question and for any other question it also might take days or weeks or never until you got the right answer and not some phoney one.

So, smartphones are changing the world in extreme ways and this is also causing a Human technological singularity on top of the regular Technological Singularity which is extreme and amazing all at the same time.
