In life these days, (mostly because of Islamic Terrorists) believe in God is waning especially among the college educated of the world. However, people need to believe in a higher power, God or Buddha or something. We are designed this way. Otherwise, often we become alcoholics, get addicted to drugs or sex or anything else because a piece of us is missing that holds us together. In understanding myths around the world (which in many ways are the basis of all religions) we begin to understand ourselves and we don't need alcohol, drugs or paranoia to make it through the night.
