More Regarding "The Favourite"(2018)

Don't read this if you are going to see the movie because it gives away part of the plot line:

It's hard to believe a government could be run like this but it is also true that they did have a Prime Minister and a two party system. So, there was a democracy of sorts going on even though Queen Anne looks sort of dysfunctional at best and maybe Lady Marlborough and Lord Marlborough are actually running the country through most of this movie (from behind the scenes). Anyone who loses 17 children one after the other is going to be wiped out emotionally likely with a form of PTSD. Then you add her eye problem and gout and then what looks like a stroke at some point and then she's dead at age 49. Since she started having stillborn children almost every single year until she was around 40 from age 18 this was a very tortured woman even though if you look at all she did in her lifetime also a very intelligent woman. No stupid lady becomes queen the way she did without a lot of smarts and a lot of help from people all around her. This was no dumb bunny like they depict in the movie but rather an emotionally wounded woman who was very intelligent who had lost her husband and all her children one by one.

If you read about her actual history in the wikipedia article I quoted you see just how intelligent and wise she was to wind up exactly where she was. However, at the same time this is a very very wounded woman from losing 17 children and her husband as well who has gout by the time we see her in this movie and so she died at age 49 I believe in 1714.

Very strange and interesting Movie "The Favourite"(2018).
