Drove to Portland from Mt. Shasta Thursday

we got up Thursday Morning and I went to a car wash to wash off my truck and drove north to Portland on Thursday. My wife has been stressed the last couple of days regarding the wedding in portland. I was stressed the two days before that about everything but got over it.So, we drove north to Weed, California where there is a Starbucks and we were on our way up over the Ashland Pass and into Oregon and Ashland Pass.
Ashland was supposed to be as hot as Mt. Shasta was the day before at 92 which is pretty warm for any mountainous area in Oregon. But, we went past there while it was still in the 80s Fahrenheit.
What was really wonderful this time was that there were no real fires that we saw outside of a control burn around Eugene somewhere thisyear because of all the late rain in California and Oregon.
So, it was clear all the way from Mt. Shasta to Portland which was a really nice experience not to have to travel through smoke so thick you can barely see the road where your eyes burn if you even open your car or truck door like last year.

So, all in all it was a great trip. I drove most of the way so my wife could read and it enjoy it also.
