apple moth spraying for money? My wife was one of the hundreds that got asthmatic bronchitus the day after the spraying. How can the state of California not be embarrassed when NO ONE who got sick was ever examined by the state doctors. How can the state say that "we don't think the spray makes people sick." That would be like saying I don't think the Eiffel Tower is there because I have never been to Paris. It just doesn't make any logical sense.
So that leaves only one conclusion that many if not most residents of Santa Cruz, San Benito and Monterey Counties in California have come to. They are spraying the apple moths to make money. By using the millions allocated by the federal government for this purpose companies make money.
It then gives the appearance to other countries who used to buy California farm goods before the apple moth came from Australia and New Zealand through Hawaii a year or so ago and reassure these countries that California and the United States are at least doing something. Meanwhile, what about the next 500 people who WILL get sick the next time the State sprays pheromones with its deadly propellent and can't breathe for a about a week from it and some may die from it. Luckily, my wife doesn't have asthma or bronchitus except when the state sprays just like the rest of the people who got sick from the propellent. Will I be able to sue the state if my wife dies the next time they spray? Will the other 500 peoples relatives be able to sue the state if their relative dies. The way this is being handled I would say the suits would be unsuccessful because there is NO transparency only muddled thinking. It is like the state is playing a shell game with us only in this game people might die.
In addition I have read a study from New Zealand that doesn't recommend spraying anything for apple moths as it has proved ineffective because of the health costs to people, especially over populated areas like the ones that have been sprayed twice already in California.
By the way, all residents of California should take notice. Your counties are going to be sprayed next over your homes and yards if it doesn't stop here.
