Many Earthquakes

I have been studying earthquakes worldwide at earthquake.usgs.gov/eqcenter/recenteqaww/

I have noticed the seeming increasing numbers of earthquakes lately worldwide above 5.0

For example, the 6.3 quake in Italy a few days ago and the 6.8 to 7.0 quake in the Kuril Islands 11 hours ago. If you look at the interactive earthquake maps of the United states and the world you can see many many quakes above 4.0 and some above 5.0.

In addition to all these quakes we see (from other sources) the ongoing volcanic eruptions of Mt redoubt(alaska), the Volcano in Chile going off, the Tonga Island undersea volcano going off and rumblings of volcanoes throughout the ring of Fire.

I'm wondering if all this has anything to do with the solar system lining up with the galaxy in the once every 26,000 year event on 12-21-12. It makes sense to me that the new gravitic influences of the way in which all the stars, nebula etc. will pull on the solar system and the planet earth will be much greater than for example the pull of the moon on earth. The planet earth is used to the constant pulls of the sun, moon and planets of the solar system. For example, when the moon pulls it affects tides and the inner ears and sometimes the natures of people worldwide. It makes sense that these periodic(every 26,000 year) galactic pulls would have their own affects on the planet, just like the sun and moon and planets have their affects every day.

If my hypothesis is true then since we are now about 3 years out from 12-21-12 it is possible that earthquakes and volcanoes might increase slowly in intensity until 12-21-12 and then decrease back to the present level by 2015. Whether my hypothesis is true or not only time will tell.

There is another hypothesis that I have heard of that the north and south pole reverse their electrical charges (sort of like a 26,000 year based alternating current of the electrical poles of the earth). So if north were the positive terminal or + and the south pole was the negative or - terminal, then you get the basic assumption that somehow during this 26,000 year event the north becomes the negative or - and the south pole becomes the positive or + terminal. How this would happen since none of us was alive the last time something like this happened is anyone's guess. Possibly geologists might find some evidence of pole shifts in the way magnetic rock is changed or is unusual near the poles. If someone were looking for the possible effects of this kind of 26,000 year change it might be found.

However, if this actually happens it likely would either severely change or even temporarily end the way we use electricity on earth. However, I think the true effect would be very different than a an electrical Magnetic Pulse like one finds from atomic or Hydrogen, or neutron bomb blasts. However, since I am not a scientist and since I haven't studied enough about all this I cannot be sure. However, everything I'm saying here is a possible outcome by 12-21-12 or soon after.
