Solar-powered plane makes successful maiden flight

It is amazing to think that this plane is planning to fly all the way around the world using only solar power by 2012. It is a 90 million plus dollar plane built in Switzerland and has the wingspan of a Boeing 747. It will be co-piloted by two pilots around the world in 2012.
