College Students Lack Empathy?
I think this "empathy" thing goes in 20 to 30 year or more cycles. There was a reason many of us were empathetic in the 1960s and 1970s "we had to be to survive those times". We are presently in a completely different era with completely different problems. People aren't that empathetic unless they have no real other choice to stay sane and alive. After all, "Necessity is the mother of invention". Those who were not empathetic often did not stay sane or survive very long in those years.
