Summer in January?

Yes. It's got to be Global Climate changes. While I think it is 46 below zero according to the Duluth, Minnesota Tribune, we are having highs from 61 degrees to 65 degrees every day from now until a week from Sunday with mostly full sunshine here on the northern California coast. Inland there are highs in the mid 70s. That is not normal weather for the northern California coast for this time of year.  The weatherman was amazed and saying, "We didn't have weather this warm even in June!" What would we expect this time of year? answer: clouds, rain, high or low fog and definitely day temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit. However, the night time temperatures are more normal in the high 40s mostly which is usually about right for this time of year.

We are also expecting until Sunday Morning:
LARGE BREAKING WAVES
RANGING FROM 15 TO 20 FEET WITHIN THE SURF ZONE OF WEST AND
NORTHWEST FACING BEACHES. WATER LEVELS AT AREA BEACHES WILL BE
CONSIDERABLY HIGHER THAN NORMAL. end quote from yahoo weather.
When I was vacationing on Maui in October and before that in La Jolla, California I
noticed that the water levels were much higher both places from global ice melt,
especially from Greenland and the two polar regions. when we get 15 to 20 foot waves
or higher a
couple of times a year the closest local residents to the ocean always get a little
worried while they
are picking the seaweed off of their front porches here on the North California coast.

Days later:
It is now the 27th of January and at 10 am it is sunny and 64 degrees already.
Weather like this is as unusual(since it has been going on now since at least the
20th of January and since today is thursday and except for a day of rain that is
supposed to hit this sunday, the highs are still (all above 64 and as high as the mid
70s all along the Northern California Ocean) as unusual for here as the extreme lows
and vexing unusual low temperatures back in the East and South and Midwest of the U.S.
For example, moss that was growing because of the extreme amount of rain since about
November here had grown moss on my brick porch steps and cement walkways and cement
driveway to the point where my wife wanted to have someone come and steam clean our
driveways and walkways. We don't need to do that now because the sun is killing
the moss everywhere but under the covered porch to our front door. So, just like the
east coast we are experiencing unheard of extremes on the West coast as well.
By the way the high sunny temperatures are expected except for a single day of rain
until February 5th or longer. Very Unusual. I love the warm weather but the pine dust
from the pine trees is falling on everything so I have to wash off my redwood deck and
cars at least once a day so my wife doesn't have an extreme allergic reaction to the
pine dust pollen.
