I was thinking about a "Singularity" like the one predicted in 2045. However, I think it will come much sooner as things often do once they are spoken about and defined.
The thing I was thinking about is "Filters". Filtering information is one of the things that separates successful adults and adults that get sidetracked away from success. So, to be a successful human being in any way as a child or as an adult setting up filters to make it easier to process information would be extremely important.
For example, when you are going to work for someone else in the morning you might have to filter out all entertainment venues so you could focus on your job. However, if your job was just waiting for phone calls that only sometimes came, then entertainment that you could easily turn off the volume to would be the best to occupy your time while waiting for calls.
Or, if you owned your own business eliminating all entertainments so you can get 1000% efficiency out of yourself that day. For example, you would want to filter for "Satisfied customers". Because satisfied customers are repeat customers who will beat a path to your door and buy again and again from you as a business. Then you would want to filter for "How can I get the best product to sell at the most competitive prices and with the highest profit margin to stay in business as a successful business?
Since when you own your own business you usually don't work by the hour at all but only pay yourself whatever profit you make that you don't plow back into your business to make it better and more efficient and even more profitable than it was before.
So, depending upon who you are and what you are trying to accomplish using the billions of times more brain capacity by being wired directly into supercomputers would give you the business edge or help you in whatever you wanted to do.
So, as the information overload grows and grows exponentially worldwide over the years there needs to be filters to bring to you what you need and not just give you another headache from just too much information.
