Also, when my own son was born in 1974, by Christmas I gave my own son a Tinkertoy set like my Grandfather had given me in 1950. I made a flying saucer out of the tinkertoys that I could spin on a longer piece of tinkertoy. I have a great picture of him smiling and holding the saucer made of tinkertoys while wearing a sweater with my cowboy knee high boots on that I used to ride my motorcycle off road back then to protect my legs from bushes, trees or falling under the motorcycle during a crash there on the remote dirt and rock back roads around Mt. Shasta . He and I rode all over the place on my motorcycle back then. He usually rode on the tank in front of me so I could better protect him because he was only 3. I realized that I had to grow up unlike my friends who were mostly all still single and being crazy in all sorts of ways. Later, when my wife and I separated I raised him by myself and had to grow up even more. Now, he's 37 and has been married twice himself and is a nurse.
