24 hour shutdown for Wikipedia in Piracy legislation protest
Most people who understand both the Internet and this legislation understand that for all intents and purposes the Internet ends when this legislation goes into effect. In order to protest the end of the internet (as we now know it to be) Wikipedia plans to shut down for 24 hours in protest. So, if you need the English Wikipedia during those 24 hours it will not be there for you.
