Weird Weather continues with Rain heading north instead of east

If I remember correctly the rain that usually falls in march and April tends to go west to east and is sometimes called the "Pineapple express because it comes from Hawaii and that region. However, instead now it comes from the arctic heads south in the ocean then heads North to Oregon or Washington or Canada and then spirals west out to sea. I don't remember this kind of weather effect for so long. What this does is to starve most states east of us from any rain which likely means the Colorado River might be very low this year which would effect greatly Arizona, Utah, Colorado and California and even possibly Mexico quite a lot, especially Southern California, and Phoenix and other large populations throughout the southwest. I'm on the Northern California coast near San Francisco. Here we are very happy to get these strange storms so we have at least half or more normal rain from San Luis Obispo north along the Coast all the way up to Seattle and beyond.
