Sen. Bernie Sanders: Wall Street Regulates Washington

I think I agree with Bernie Sanders. And who is Wall Street? The richest investors in the world? So who controls the U.S. Congress? The answer once again is: "The richest investors in the world." To disagree with this statement at this point is to be uninformed or misinformed. So, since this makes our government dysfunctional either this changes or we give up the charade that we are living in a democracy. Because as long as Wall Street controls the U.S. Congress WE DON't HAVE A DEMOCRACY! We only have the illusion of one. So, how do the people take back their democracy? First of all the 6 biggest banks that are "Too Big to Fail" need to be broken up until no single one going down would bring down the whole nation. Second, campaign finance laws need to be changed to where once again individuals are the basis of campaign contributions and there is a limitation to how much any single person can donate. And the same needs to be true of corporations and businesses. Otherwise, our democracy in a Republic will stay a joke to any thinking person who actually understands how things work in the real world as opposed to an idealistic fantasy of the real world which many appear to still have.
