Adapting to Change

My son was saying how "Everything in the U.S. and Earth now is adapting to Change". It was reported yesterday that not only since January but the entire last year is the hottest year in History in the U.S. I was watching how farmers were harvesting their crops about 1 month before they are used to across most of the U.S. (if they got enough rain to have a good harvest). So, literally every living thing has had to adapt to this climate change this year both in the U.S. and worldwide. This puts it all into a different perspective.

There have been different times of change before here where we live like "The invention of the car and plane" and before that the invention of steam engines and since then "The Great Depression" and "World War II" which deeply affected my parents generation. They were always preparing all the "Baby Boomers" for another "Great Depression" even though it didn't happen in most of their lifetimes. But it is here now worldwide it looks like.

However, this time the twin problems of overpopulation and Global Climate Change (which are related) factor in the most. Overpopulation also factors into unemployment as well. Another factor is the inability to grow enough food to feed everyone worldwide. And even if enough food could be grown, the inability to get it to those who need it cheap enough to make it be possible to feed everyone. And even if people's donations are enough to get food to people often political climates within those nations prevent getting food to the starving people.

So, mostly most of us are scrambling to adapt to all these changes. However, all this is also a good time to spiritually develop as a part of this adaptation. I have found all during my life that each of us are capable of "Impossible things". What I mean by this mainly is that we are much more than we appear to be at first as humans here on earth.

So, in order to achieve impossible things human beings often down through history are confronted with impossible challenges. And those who tried to survive impossible challenges often have succeeded. So, in studying what people have already survived down through history it might make each of us more capable in the present and future of having some idea of what we can make it through this time.

And if you have time on your hands because of not being able to find work but still have enough food, clothing and shelter then maybe it is time to discover more of yourself and what you might be capable of to survive these times and if possible how you can help others survive these times as well.
