Taking Responsibility

My wife was remarking how amazing her experience of being healed at one of John Douglas' seminars was for her. She mentioned how his sessions are also a part of "taking responsibility" for one's own healing. So, he becomes more of a facilitator while all present "help" heal themselves along with his assistance and angels and Jesus and all sorts of Sacred Beings.

Having studied Buddhism (since around age 30) in addition to mystical Christianity and various other disciplines myself, I could relate to this. I have always been a practitioner of "God helps those who help themselves".  I noticed very young how often people with a spiritual "Victim mentality" get ill or die because they don't seem to understand their part to play in their own physical and mental and spiritual healings. So, early on, I learned that "If I don't take an interest in my own spiritual and mental and physical healing, who will?" So, I learned to take an interested attitude all the time in helping myself move forwards and all others that I came into contact with in my life.

My wife was telling me how far she had come by keeping on doing the work to be healed deeper and deeper since this event and is really amazed at the results.

This is very useful because I have realized that there is an infinite amplification of one's own healing and others healing (in every useful way) when one practices this all the time.
