7000 miles on a fill up

Even though a Chevy Volt Hybrid costs about 39,000 dollars owners brag about the 7000 miles between fill ups. GM plans to knock thousands off the newest version.
All fact from page 14 of the latest Time magazine with  the Director of Zero
Dark Thirty on the cover.
Also, if you read:

you can read about the history of the Toyota Prius and in the 2nd article how the Toyota Prius Hybrid was the top selling car in California in 2012. In fact, I think hybrids in general made up almost 10% of the new car sales in California in areas like the San Francisco, Oakland to San Jose Area. And many other areas like Monterey, Portland, Eugene, and Los Angeles were not far behind in hybrid sales. One of the reasons our economy is growing and many others are not is the hybrids and electrics that people are buying in the U.S. Every person who buys a hybrid or electric lowers the general cost of energy of all kinds for people in the U.S. and makes our economy more viable. In this sense it is probably the most patriotic thing a U.S. citizen can do without joining the military in the way it helps the economy and creates jobs by reducing the costs of energy for the nation to continue to prosper.
