end quote.

Below is a picture of the Solar Impulse plane that can carry one or two humans. It is completely solar powered and it has successfully been flown (seen here) in Switzerland. It is soon coming to fly across the U.S. as well. Most of it's surfaces are covered with solar cells which generate all it's power for flying. They plan to fly this across the U.S. this year. We are looking at a prototype for future human flight using only the winds and solar power for transport on sunny days.

While I am writing "As Drones Evolve" I am combining this technology with a hybrid small light gasoline engine so something can fly all day without using any gas and at night using the winds updrafts and gas to charge the batteries to keep flying all night too. I think this is one of the future amazing things in aviation whether manned or not.
