Reading or watching the news and feeling a little nervous lately? It was like this or worse from the time Hitler came to power in 1933 until around Nov. 9, 1989 when the Berlin Wall (which was a sign of the Cold War in Europe started to come down. And even then it wasn't until 1991 when most people say that the Cold War was finally over.
But now, since the way the War in Syria is being fought with Iran, China and Russia on Assad's side and almost everyone else on the Syrian Rebels side it is sort of like the Cold War once again.
Even North Korea getting out of hand like it has periodically since around 1950 reminds me a lot of the Cold War too. It is almost like North Korea still lives in the 1950 to 1955 era still like in a time warp. I think that is why everyone has such a hard time taking them seriously. It is sort of like, "Are you really serious? People haven't thought like that since the 1950s and no one at all has thought like that since maybe 1991. Where have you been?"
But, taking N. Korea seriously is one way to survive the game they are playing. It is a part of the Cold War they are playing still even if no one else is still playing that game they still are. And the problem with North Korea is if they do this long enough we might all be playing the Cold War game once again. That, to me is the real problem with their verbal stance. Once people get scared there is no turning back to when things were safe again. Once again it is psychological warfare and that is why this is serious for the whole world. The Cold War has been over since 1991 (except in North Korea).
