The Airline Merger
It seems to me that the flying public are jeopardized whether the airlines merge or not. If they merge, for example, from 60% to 70% of the flights from Reagan in Washington D.C. will be the new merged airline. Also, this merger (on top of all the others) is supposed to raise air fares all across the U.S. because of the lack of competition. However, if the merger is blocked it is very likely that one or both airlines won't exist at all within 1 or 2 years which will cause even more high prices as well as all the investors in one or both airlines losing everything potentially as well as all the pilots, stewards and stewardesses and all other union members worldwide.
