The problem with Frozen

If you are already freezing in your life in temperatures 30 to 60 degrees or more below what you are used to this time of year, do you really want to go see a movie about a princess that freezes things because she hasn't figured out how not to freeze things yet. I think this is why "Frozen" likely will become a classic Disney movie and likely will always be associated with "This Frozen Winter" the winter of 2013 when it got so cold in December.

Another outcome of this cold weather likely will be a lot less people visiting department stores and malls because it isn't safe for them to travel that far and 9 months from now there likely will be a lot more babies too because of power lines being down and no TV or Internet to watch and people needing comfort to make it through these times. So, whether or not this "Mini Ice Age" ends by Christmas or gets even worse by January or February I don't think any of us will forget a winter like this one with temperatures even along Northern California's shores of the Pacific Ocean we are getting temperatures even at 10 am on any day into the 30s. 

I think you will also see a whole lot more people shopping at Amazon and other online retailers, so the UPS, Fedex and U.S. Mail etc. likely will do a record business this year as long as they can keep their vans unstuck and moving and delivering all the things people are going to order for Christmas this year.
