I was listening to CNN news and one of their reporters in Sochi traveled to Dagestan and found out that there are literally hundreds of Black Widows under House Arrest along with their children there now. (A Black widow is defined as a woman whose husband has been killed by Russia's security forces in Muslim Areas of Russia).
So, I was listening to one being interviewed by a CNN reporter. She said basically that she isn't allowed to leave her town and has had to sign a document that she will stay in her town until the Sochi Games are over and is representative of hundreds of others.
It is important to know that this is not just a few terrorists here and there this is an ongoing war that the Chechens lost in the 1990s but still have not and likely will never give up and the same with the Dagestanis. So, this isn't just 1 or 2 terrorists this is an ongoing war for at least 20 years and in some ways this war between locals and the Russian Government has been going on already for hundreds of years already ethinically between the Russian Government and Chechen and Dagestani locals.
So, to say that there are thousands and thousands of people in this area that are either in sympathy or aligned with the Black Widows is to be more accurate in describing all this.(Especially in Dagestan and Chechnya).
I saw this on CNN and I believe Nick Payton Walsh was the reporter on location in Russia there in Sochi and the surrounding region.
