Proxy Wars in the Ukraine and Syria simultaneously?

This is really starting to look more like the old Cold War every day now. It doesn't look at all like a new one just spasms of the old one we all thought was over 24 years ago now. It doesn't look good for the free nations of the world or for Russia. It doesn't look good for the Shias or the Sunnis either as this whole thing in more than one nation spins out of control more every day.

If you add to the mix Venezuela and Yemen you have a whole lot of conflicts going on at once. And in addition to this Libya and Egypt are both kind of iffy at the moment too. So, hang on world this is starting to remind me of the 1990s and the war in the Balkans once again. Though the war in the Balkans was mostly about Christians killing and genociding Muslims when you put these multiple conflicts together now it is not Christians killing Muslims in Syria it is Shia Muslims killing Sunni Muslims. So, you have Chechen Sunni Muslims going to fight against Assad and Shia Hezbollah in Syria.

Now, in the Ukraine you have the Ukrainians wanting to be aligned with the European Union and Putin saying "No!" It will be interesting to see long term whose will is stronger. But, in the meantime it likely is going to be horrific to watch just like the video footage coming out of Syria the last few years.
