More news regarding Glacier Breaking on Mt. Shasta

I got a call from my friend who lives on that side of the mountain. He can't get out Pilgrim Creek Road at all because it is still closed. No vehicles (unless they have tank treads can make it across the debris field still anyway at the Bridge where everything came down and blocked the creek. It started damming up behind the bridge and became a Potential threat to Hiway 89 so the Rangers and likely County sent in heavy equipment to reroute the creek for now temporarily so the water doesn't get loose and break through Hiway 89. So, the creek has been rerouted across Pilgrim creek road because the rubble is higher than the road or bridge now. My friend said he couldn't drive there so he went to another dirt road further up the creek on the mountain and then walked down the creek to see all this and all the heavy equipment there to fix the situation and to protect Hiway 89. However, Pilgrim Creek Rd (the paved road into this area) isn't open and he doesn't know when it will open again.

He can still get out to Hiway 89 through a dirt road which is still open and so can go to McCloud and the city of Mt. Shasta on 89 this way.
