The problem with this movie is that it lacks a cohesive plot. However, that being said it is also one of the funniest movies you can imagine as long as you don't need a cohesive plot. I'm not sure whether it wasn't edited right or everyone in the movie was smoking doobies or coke or what it was but this movie although it is a very smart movie is also missing something, (a cohesive plot). So, it is sort of like if you took a whole bunch of really great and well thought out Saturday Night Live skits and strung them all together. YOu would laugh your ass off but sort of be confused as to what was actually going on in some ways.
The first 1/2 hour of the movie, the set up is a disaster but then it just got so funny I was almost falling out of my seat in the theater. So, if you just want to laugh at three idiots trying to start their own business after living as worker bee slaves who want to kill their employers which was the perfect movie "Horrible Bosses 1) then this is the movie for you.
If you actually are at a place where you want to start your own business they do mention a lot of things that are true. However, the two bad people in this movie are an extreme form of bad business person that though people actually do exist like this in real life, they are more apt to be drug dealers or Mafia if they treat people like this. So, this is something to think about if you are preparing to go into business for yourselves in real life.
I suppose the biggest thing I would share with you is just like canvass calls you get on the phone, anyone who calls you out of the blue you usually don't want to do business with unless maybe they are a customer. You want recommendations and you want people you know well introucing you to the primary people you are going to be "in business with" like suppliers, wholesalers etc. If they call you out of the blue you have to be suspicious of their motivations unless they are customers that want to buy your product.
Anywhere on the production or sales end you have to protect yourself or else your business won't ever get off the ground.
Business is War! This is a true statement and the competition will murder you if you are not wise and more efficient and innovative than they are. Also, there is also something called a niche business.
What this means is that a really large company usually doesn't want to compete with someone whose business only grosses about $250,000 a year or less. So, if a big company isn't going to put you under you are more safe this way. So, there are many reasons and angles to making a profit and not ever having to have "Horrible Bosses" in your lives.
I had a lot of horrible bosses from the time I was 10 years old until I was about 28 and started creating my own businesses. Then I found I like my life a whole lot better from then on.
I recently met a young man with a degree in movie making who makes documentaries for companies for training etc. and he was only 26 years old and already a very successful businessman with his own successful business. So, if you are properly trained and a self starter, anything is possible.
