In Buddhism, the sole aim of spiritual practice is the complete alleviation of
stress in
samsara,
[6][7] which is called
nirvana.
Some teachers tell students beginning
Buddhist meditation that the notion of divinity is not incompatible with Buddhism,
[8] and at least one Buddhist scholar has indicated that describing Buddhism as
nontheistic may be overly simplistic;
[9] but many traditional theist beliefs are considered to pose a hindrance to the attainment of
nirvana,
[10] the highest goal of Buddhist practice.

end quote from:
However, obviously, this might not be the only goal of other religions. My personal beliefs include a God just like 25% of Buddhists on Earth. However, having been raised a Mystical Christian being a Tibetan Buddhist too is okay because Christians don't see Buddhism as a religion but rather as a philosophy. However, I believe both Christianity and Buddhism are both Religions and philosophies. However, there is no paradox for me between them either.
However, I also believe if more people can focus on ending the suffering of all sentient beings in the Universe starting with all beings here on earth I tend to think life on earth would get a whole lot better as well as life everywhere else fairly quickly.
