If you go to the REAL causes of this crisis you have to go back to around 1960 and 1970 when Birth control (was not accepted) by Imam's of the Middle East. Though it wasn't accepted completely here in the U.S. or Europe, at least people weren't killed for practicing birth control or threatened the way they were in the Middle East. As a result overpopulation happened.
To understand this sociologically, people have a lot of children when there is no social welfare system in place. It is often the only way to actually have people alive to take care of you after you are 40 or 50 years of age. Also, it is sort of like having your own private army to help defend you in every way too. But, if you can't feed this family (Army) then what good is that.
So, in Countries without social welfare programs in place people are forced to have children in order to survive at all after 40 or 50 to take over their businesses and to help support those over 40 or 50 or those in poor health in that family.
So, now we add a lack of equal rights not only between men and women but also no equal rights between sects of different religions. Then we flash forward with all these problems in place and we have Assad 5 years ago suppressing the majority of people in Syria who are Sunni Muslims from having any rights at all.
This then created ISIS. So now ISIS and Hezbollah and all other terrorist organization(Hezbollah is Shiite and ISIS is Sunni) The main difference between Shias and Sunni Terrorists at this point is ISIS eventually kills everyone who isn't Sunni Muslims (all other sects and religions).
So, here come all the affected Sunni Muslims, Shiite Muslims and all other religions (including Christians) who are being wiped out in the Middle East now.
And this is going to continue and likely get much worse over the years now.
But, just remember it all started with no social welfare systems and no birth control.
But now Middle Eastern Social Welfare problems with equal rights and birth control are now being visited upon Europe which is a real problem for Europe too.
However, I would say for every 1 person making it to Europe alive there are probably 5 people starving and dying at some point on the way.
For example, it is mostly men making this trip to Europe(or at least surviving this trip to Europe). Why is this? Because women don't want to be raped, and then be killed by their famlies because they were raped along the way. So, once again the lack of equality is killing women in the middle East at a higher rate than men, even when they try to run away to Europe as refugees.
