Earliest description of a Tsunami

The earliest description of a tsunami-type wave comes from the northern part of the Aegean Sea in 479 B.C. Many historians believe the explosive eruption of Santorini in the Aegean Sea in 1500 B.C. caused a tsunami that brought widespread devastation to the eastern Mediterranean and Crete.

If I'm not mistaken some historians claim that this tsunami is the actual cause of the parting of the Red Sea where the sea went away, the people crossed and then it came in and killed the Egyptian soldiers on Chariots like in "The Ten Commandments". So, it is also possible that Moses was a VERY well educated man capable of reading the signs as well if I'm correct about this.

However, those that wrote about it in the Bible were not scientists possibly to fully understand what actually happened.
