I've always called highly sensitive people Intuitives who survived to adulthood

You are very intuitive and you feel that you can usually sense if someone isn't telling the truth or if something else is wrong.

You get a sense of comfort and well being when around a lake, river, stream, the ocean, or even a fountain.

You feel compelled to file and organize things and thoughts, also enjoy simplicity and may become overwhelmed or even immobilized by chaos, clutter, or stress.

You are very creative.

From the previous article these are the traits I started to experience and be really aware of from age 2.

The biggest one for me was knowing when people were lying. I always knew when adults were lying even at age 2.

I often wondered why they weren't telling the truth and it took until I was about 15 to fully understand why adults lied all the time around children especially.

It was because in the 1950s people were very formal and children were supposed to be "Seen and not heard" basically. So, in some ways we were treated a little like pets or animals people needed to train and beat to become adults.

Not that much has really changed the way many or most people raise children today.

However, I see children exactly the way I see adults now as I did when I was 2. I was an adult at age 2 and knew it. I just needed to get more skills. So, I was really upset at people who underestimated me.

So, people who were kind to me and respected me I treated well and people who treated me as an animal or pet I just ignored and didn't respect at all. Mostly I thought they were really stupid not to understand what an amazing being I was even then.

However, this caused me a lot of pain, anger and grief until I was able to make sense of this on all levels which didn't really start to occur until I was taking philosophy in college when I was around 22 years of age. I always got As in philosophy around this time because I had suffered enough to understand the importance of the Philosophic method of questioning everything.

Without questioning everything in one's life one stays ignorant in one or more ways all their lives like many people do who haven't finished high school or haven't gone to college.

Until you approach college critical thinking and apply it to literally everything in your life there isn't much hope for you in your life in regard to accomplishing almost anything or going anywhere.

Because you will be too afraid to leave your little town in the woods because people are too scary anywhere else to ever go there.
