The Scientific Method

Most people tend to base their lives on rumors and innuendo. This tends to create confusion, difficulties, alcoholism, drug abuse and really bad choices in life.

To protect oneself and one's family from harm it is better to base your lives on the Scientific Method.
I find even one's spirituality and religion needs to be based upon the Scientific method to avoid confusion, insanity and death in many or most cases.

The scientific method allows a person to prove or disprove anything they think or anything anyone tells them over time. So, you wind up with many many hypotheses, less theories and very few laws in your life.

What is a Hypothesis?

A hypothesis is something that might be true.

So, when you form a hypothesis you let it hang out their in space in your mind as something that might be true. If it is something important you try (like Sherlock Holmes) to ferret out whether this is true or not. (However, most hypothesis you cannot prove and might not be able to prove one way or the other). And so it might be left to your children or their children to discover whether one of your hypotheses are actually theories or laws.

What is a Theory?

A theory is more true than a hypothesis but less true than a law.

A theory is something you are Almost sure is true because it has been proven up to a certain point. But, you still don't have enough evidence to make it a law in your life or the lives of those around you.

What is a Law?

A law is something that you have proven to yourself beyond a shadow of a doubt. Be very very careful before you make something a law in your life because this has really far reaching consequences for you and the people around you.


For example, a terrorist might make terrorism a law in their life. However, what might be really happening is they can see no way for themselves to live a full life and ever be happy in any way.
So, killing others while killing themselves is really a form of "giving up on life" like many young people do through suicide. So, instead of it actually meaning anything at all it just means they were looking for an honorable way through their religion to commit suicide and that's all.

For example, the lady terrorist might have had post partem depression after childbirth which made her suicidal and self destructive and this caused her to swear allegiance to ISIS. Post partem depression is very common among women by the way and without help many commit suicide and even kill their own children as well.

So, a compassionate non-self judgemental approach to life might keep you alive but a judgemental approach to oneself and others might end their lives and the lives of their children. 

So, the scientific Method tends to keep people alive while believing rumors and innuendo just drives people crazy and to various forms of suicide of which one example is terrorism for people under around 30.
