The attacks they've levied on me and my family have been constant and ugly.
Even Michelle Fields, the former Breitbart reporter whose arm was forcefully squeezed by Donald Trump's campaign manager joined in on the ugliness against my family and I — as did her biggest supporter from Breitbart, Ben Shapiro, who resigned this month when the disgraced news outlet left her hanging.

Now, Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has been charged with misdemeanor battery for squeezing Fields' arm too tightly. It should be noted that his attorney resigned as a federal prosecutor after he was accused of biting a stripper.
Fields, Shapiro and their former Breitbart colleagues were virtually silent when a peaceful, non-violent black woman, Shiya Nwanguma, was repeatedly assaulted by Trump's supporters at a Kentucky rally.

Even noted white supremacists chimed in, screamed in her face and shoved her around like a pinball — back and forth between men taking their turns — as Trump bellowed his typical "get them out of here" line from the mic.

"They were pushing and shoving at me, cursing at me, yelling at me, called me every name in the book,” she added. “They were disgusting and dangerous.”
Fields, who worked for Breitbart at the time, didn't seem too troubled by any of this. She didn't tweet or post on Facebook about it. She didn't write any op-eds or open letters denouncing it.
Maybe she liked it?
I don't know.
She definitely didn't dislike it enough to acknowledge that it happened in spite of it being widely covered all over the country.
An enlisted Marine was discharged from the delayed entry program, another veteran was forced to apologize for his role in it, but she said nothing.
Somehow, though, Fields' arm squeeze by Lewandowski as she neared Trump has produced an arrest. While this is a good thing, why was there no justice from police on the young black woman who was assaulted and why no coverage from conservatives on her case?
In other words, white supremacists and other Trump supporters grab and shove and scream at a peaceful black woman and nothing happens.
A professional campaign manager squeezes the arm of reporter and he's arrested and charged.
The racial double standard is despicable.
To this day, Fields hasn't said anything about the violent assaults of others at Trump's events.
While I'm glad that Trump's campaign manager is being held responsible for his violence against women, it's time that every Trump supporter be held to this same standard. It's also time that conservative reporters accept that they allowed a culture of violence to be created at Trump's events without ever critiquing it until it finally hit one of their own.
