As John Oliver points out, he’s been largely ignoring a rather huge target by not doing segments on Donald Trump on his HBO show Last Week Tonight.
That completely changed on Sunday, with Oliver delivering a devastating 21-minute takedown of the Republican frontrunner. Oliver tackled each of reasons Trump fans frequently cite as why they support the real estate developer and former NBC reality host in his presidential bid.
Plus, he launched a website, DonaldJDrumpf.com, devoted to publicizing Trump’s apparently lesser-known ancestral name in an effort to break the positive association between the heavily marketed Trump brand and the man himself. The site also contains a Chrome browser plugin you can download that will change “Trump” to “Drumpf” whenever you’re surfing online.
