- Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. With Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy, Will Poulter, Domhnall Gleeson. A frontiersman on a fur trading expedition in the 1820s ...This is a pretty amazing movie. The one thing you get from this movie is literally everyone playing a part in this movie suffered terribly to create this movie. They were all freezing most of the time and had to be hardy souls to the max. However, I'm thinking sometimes they had to wear wet suits under their leather clothes sometimes in those ice filled rivers to not have to be taken to the hospital. For example, a couple of weeks ago it was 20 degrees out and I fell through the ice myself. And I had a really hard time not to go into shock from it and this was just my lower body from my belt down. But, imagine staying out in the cold like this literally for days at a time injured and how hearty you would have to be to endure all this. Even if you survived it likely it would greatly shorten your life in various ways. So, all I'm saying here is that it IS possible to survive these conditions even if you died by your mid 30s or 40s or as late as your 50s from living like this all the time. However, I'm thinking that Leonardo deserved an Academy award just for the suffering he and his crew of actors and camera people endured in filming this movie.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
