the world’s 85 richest people own the same amount of wealth as the bottom 50% of the global population

One of the more interesting things I discovered recently is that you have to be making around $35,000 a year to be in the top 20 to 30 % of the richest people on earth. When I was in India in 1985 and 1986 a person had to beg or earn 1 dollar a day (or 365 dollars a year not to starve to death) and many people were begging from me and others (literally thousands in every city) so they wouldn't starve to death that day. So, as you travel around the world you may see this where people don't have a future like most of us have here in the U.S. for a variety of reasons. Not starving then meant one ice  cream scoop of rice per day to stay alive and that's all. The other thing I had to get used to in 1985 and 1986 was people dying and their bodies being left in the streets often. Though I hear this has changed now it gives a person from the U.S. a different and somewhat more useful perception of what Asia can be like and has been like already for thousands of years.

begin partial quote:
Both candidates caricature reality. Globalization–the processes by which ideas, people, money, goods and services cross borders at unprecedented speed–has created two sets of winners. First, Sanders is right that the world’s richest have increased their share of global wealth. Today, the world’s 85 richest people own the same amount of wealth as the bottom 50% of the global population. There has been major progress–hundreds of millions of people in developing countries have been lifted out of poverty into the global middle class as emerging markets ramp up their industrial production. But between 2001 and 2013, America’s trade deficit with China cost the U.S. 3.2 million jobs, three-quarters of which were in manufacturing. Trump is right about that.

end partial quote from:

Trump and Sanders Have Tapped Into a Dangerous–and...

The 3.2 million jobs lost by Americans from 2001 until 2013 were from the 63,000 factories closed in the U.S. and moved to China, Viet Nam and wherever labor was cheaper but there weren't wars to interfere with production there.

So, if you can pay workers 1/3 or less than Americans the shipping of that product even by air might be cost effective to ship that product back to the U.S. to sell at a lower price than ANY American company in the U.S. could ever compete with.

So, you have very low priced things to buy in the U.S. with no American middle Class to be educated enough and experienced enough to take the rich oligarchy to task and keep our government honest enough for the poor and the middle Class to actually survive here.

And this kind of thing either spells radical political changes or it spells a bloody revolution over time (one or the other).

And so I suggest we all prepare ourselves for some radical changes to the way things are going to be done here in the U.S.

It may not be Democratic Socialism and it may not be Trump's isolationism but it better be something or else we are over as a democracy and any fool can see this now.

Let me put this Title in a more understandable context:

"85 people on earth have more wealth than the poorest almost 4 billion people"

Think about that for just a moment!
