The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, currently in its 17th year of existence, attracts music and arts lovers from around the world to Indio, California, each spring.
Warm and dry conditions that highlighted the first weekend of the festival are expected to continue into the final weekend of the event, set for Friday, April 22 to Sunday, April 24, as a storm moves north of the area. This is the fifth year in a row that the festival has been held as a two-weekend event.

High temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s and low 90s F with some sunshine each day this weekend. A light jacket may be needed once the sun goes down as lows will drop to the upper 50s and low 60s.

The storm is forecast to move into California at late week, but the best opportunities for rain will be farther north.
"Rain chances Friday and Friday night are greatest across northern and central California," AccuWeather Meteorologist Michael Doll said.
While rain will likely fail to reach the desert valleys of Southern California, any wet weather that does survive the trip will be light and spotty.
"Some showers will make their way into Southern California Friday night into early Saturday morning, but very few will survive the trip to the Coachella Valley," Doll explained.
"Rain across the San Joaquin Valley could cause delays for those from northern parts of the state heading to the festival on Friday," he added.

Festival-goers can take advantage of the numerous shaded areas on the grounds to find temporary relief from the heat.
Plenty of non-alcoholic beverages, especially water, will be needed in order to prevent dehydration in the hot sun.
Those planning to camp at the festival should not have to contend with soggy grounds or rain dampening their tent.
However, campers should ensure their tents and other objects are properly secured as winds will increase on Saturday and Sunday, according to Doll.
Dry weather is expected to continue into Sunday evening as the festival winds down and party-goers begin their journey home.
