From statements about Hispanic immigrants to foreign policy positions, Hillary Clinton said Thursday she’s seen enough evidence to conclude Donald Trump is not qualified to be president.
In an interview with CNN, Mrs. Clinton said she’s confident that the Democratic Party will unify and defeat Mr. Trump in November. Throughout the course of the general-election campaign, she said, the American people also will conclude that the billionaire businessman and GOP front-runner simply doesn’t have the knowledge or judgment to lead the country.
“Whether it’s attacking Great Britain, praising the leader of North Korea … whether it is saying, ‘Pull out of NATO,’ let other countries have nuclear weapons, the kinds of positions he is stating and the consequences of those positions, and even the consequences of his statement, are not just offensive to people, they are potentially dangerous,” she said. “I know how hard it is to do this job, and I know we need steadiness as well as strength and smarts in it. And I have concluded he is not qualified to be president of the United States.”
