The Rise in Solar Power might signal the end of the Russian Empire

The Soviet Union collapsed partly because of a drop in Oil prices triggered by Saudi Arabia. Part of the reason Saudi Arabia did this was to put out of business competitors like Russia. The end result was the end of the Soviet Union.

Likewise today, Saudi Arabia is once again trying to corner the oil market by keeping prices low which causes oil drillers and shale miners worldwide to go out of business including in Russia.

If you have noticed the War against Ukraine by Russia has calmed down partly because of this.

However, here is the real problem for Russia and Oil people throughout the world: SOLAR POWER.

Solar power by 2025 will be cheaper in every developed nation to produce than Oil is.

What this means in real terms is in the long run good for the world. (But not good for Russia or Saudi Arabia).

So, Saudi Arabia and Russia will have to seek other financial resources to replace oil as the fundamental financial empowerment for both nations if they want to survive the rest of this century after about 2025. This is true of all nations whose primary source of money and power is in oil.

So, what I'm saying here is there is a chance now because of the game of chicken in regard to oil that Saudi Arabia is playing now may backfire not only on Saudi Arabia but also the whole world in regard to oil.

The worst case right now is Venezuela if you are studying the news. So, what is happening in Venezuela now may be happening to all nations primarily dependent on oil revenue by 2025.

Later: I was thinking about this more and realized, that strangely enough the country most putting Russia out of business oil wise in the long run is China. Because China has undercut every country on earth and put many solar cell makers out of business by financially undercutting them at every point.

So, China is demanding to be the only big producer of solar cells. However, it is in the interest of all nations to continue to keep making solar cells even if funded by governments in case at some point in the future China only supplies solar cells to China and no one else (which could also be a disaster for the whole world if they are the only ones making solar cells).
