Alexa a witness to murder? (Echo Data and Amazon)

I don't think the data would be stored in the device itself by rather in the cloud or a Mainframe somewhere. So, it is doubtful they could separate out all the data to begin with. It's not that it couldn't be found it is that this is going to be something that happens every day otherwise as murders or domestic disturbances are heard in homes around the world. Likely Amazon doesn't want to be legally liable for millions of dollars of research which could be required to give millions of these types of data dumps to local and federal police worldwide without being financially reimbursed. Also, people who own these things would sue Amazon if they are still alive and others wouldn't buy these devices if this happened too.
