Feet of Snow Piles Up This Week

Category: Weather
We picked up 8 inches of snow overnight, and the snow continues to fall this morning.
The cold snow continues through Tuesday
Cold and Snow continues Monday into Tuesday. Winds gusting to 50+ mph on mountain tops. Several inches fall today, tonight, and Tuesday. Totals of 1-2 feet of additional snowfall by Tuesday.
Stronger Storm
Tuesday night through Wednesday night a wetter storm arrives. Temperatures are not quite as cold.  Snow levels look to stay near to just below base level through Wednesday.  We could see an additional 1-3 feet of snow.
Quick Break
We could see a break Thursday and Friday as some colder air moves in with highs in the 30's. Strong winds pick up Friday ahead of the next storm.
Even Stronger Storm
A strong storm moves in for the weekend. The storm could last from Saturday until Tuesday of next week. Several feet of snow is possible on the mountains.
The snow levels may rise to 7000 feet Saturday, 8000 feet Saturday night, and then falling again to base level on Sunday.  The latest model runs show in excess of 5 additional feet of snow possible above 8000 feet, and several feet to the base when snow levels fall Sunday into Monday.
We have to keep watching the details of precip amounts and snow levels with these storms.
Looking into next week there could be additional storms.
