Trump is an Anti-Globalist and a U.S. protectionist

Here's the crucial paragraph: "For many decades, we've enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry; subsidized the armies of other countries, while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military. We've defended other nations' borders while refusing to defend our own; and spent trillions of dollars overseas while America's infrastructure has fallen into disrepair and decay."The amazing thing about this litany is that most of the policies Trump criticizes had been peripheral to our recent political battles, at least until he came along. Indeed, the only one that had raised any heat--the "depletion" of the military--is a political fiction. The others, though, have been core assumptions of the leadership in both parties. And Trump is right. It may be time to test them and see if they still apply.

For those of you who didn't understand that Trump is an Anti-Globalist and a U.S. protectionist this is why most people who voted for him voted for him because they were desperate for jobs for themselves and their children and grandchildren.

 That they might be disappointed right now should not be underestimated. And also they might not understand where you are coming from either if you are against the guy they voted for even if they might also be disappointed in him right now.

The problem is that he has offended the majority of Americans and they likely won't forgive him for that. This is something people who voted for Trump need to understand too. And those completely offended by Trump aren't likely to EVER forgive him his offenses to their sense of values which are ongoing and apparently never ending in their offensiveness.

So, there is an ideological (but not yet violent war) against Trump right now called "The Resistance" in honor of the Resistance against Hitler in France and Europe at present because Trump reminds the majority of people in the U.S. of Hitler.

Hopefully, more people will understand this about what is going on here as they either live in the U.S. or around the world.
