If you want to more fully understand the cultural revolution of the 1960s and 1970s

If you kind of want to experience the trauma of the cultural revolution and the effect it had on life in California and eventually everywhere else on earth to a greater or lesser degree first watch Rules Don't Apply (2016) and then watch some of the comedic work of George Carlin and Richard Pryor to see just how extreme the cultural shift was from a White American church going middle Class point of view typified in the movie about Howard Hughes and then watch George Carlin (who was once a Catholic and then became an atheist and Richard Pryor who grew up in a Brothel who became so honest about his life that he just blew everyone's mind completely. It was like listening to someone's Catholic confessions in comedic form. No one had ever been that honest with an audience before in that way. Each in their own ways George Carlin and Richard Pryor completely broke the mold for all white and black and other comedians to follow. So, by doing this you see just how extreme the changes were between 1959 and 1980 here in the U.S. If you are anywhere in the world you can see how comedians like Carlin and Pryor changed everything by the way they sent their comedy into previously unheard of places even for the U.S.
Rules Don't Apply (2016)

If you want to see "Rules Don't Apply" it is available at Amazon Prime. This movie for me was amazing because it took me back to exactly in some ways what it was like in 1959. When I got up to go to the bathroom I had trouble because I expected to see my parents as I walked down the hall so real the white Christian church experience was for me in that movie. So, my subconscious mind expected to see my parents as I got up from that movie to go to the bathroom being once again in 1959. So, this movie is very true to the actuality of the time period specifically what it was like to be a white church going person in 1959 in Los Angeles. Kudos to Warren Beatty!
