What is TCP IP?

Since I was researching Assembly language I realized it might be important to understand TCP/IP Why? Because if each type of CPU has it's very own machine language and Assembly language, how do all devices and all types of CPUs in every device worldwide communicate? Answer: they use protocols like TCPIP and HTTP which are both protocols at different levels. HTTP is a protocol specific to the Internet "World Wide Web" whereas TCP/IP functions at a closer level to Machine language and Assembly languages worldwide. Imagine C3PO from STar Wars speaking 90,000 languages. TCP/Ip would be more like R2D2 and HTTP would be more like C3PO.
