How to blog at Blogspot (Blogger.com) using a Macbook Pro with Firefox as a Browser

If you are going to quote anything by anyone you need to give credit to them for writing whatever they write otherwise it is plagiarism and you might be taken to court. This is the first thing you need to know.

Another thing good to know is if you are going to quote a lot of stuff it is better if you are not having adds at your site. Because if your site is a Non-profit site (I haven't made one penny on this site since I opened it and don't intend to by the way) IF you are non-profit and working in the public interest in doing things to help mankind to better survive their lives in some way likely people are not going to bother you at all and just consider your site to be a generally helpful site to all mankind.

Also, I tend to use "Compose" mode instead of the HTML mode. Thought I do know how to program a site in HTML I prefer not to when you have automatic robotic coders working for free for you when you use the "compose" mode in Blospot (Blogger.com).

So, generally speaking I use ONLY the Compose mode which does automatic HTML composing for you.

However, this is going to freak out some people when you quote Html and then run it through compose for a variety of reasons.

But, I find I can help more poeople in 1/10 to 1/100th the amount of time by running my site this way.

Likely if I had to do everything in HTML I just would give up this site and not have a blog anymore because it is just too time consuming otherwise. I would rather just spend (1 to 4 hours a day) when I have time using "Compose" to set up thing that look interesting for people worldwide to read or to write custom things I get from God to write for people on earth to better survive their lives.

Hopefully, what I wrote here will help you to better understand what I have found actually works in creating and maintaining a blogsite at Blogspot (blogger.com) while using a macbook Pro also using Firefox as a browser.

Everything I"m sharing here actually works quite well. If you have never programmed before it is possible to create your own site just using the edit function at the top of the page in Firefox along with the "Compose mode" on your Blogspot (blogger.com) website you will create if you want to.

Note: just remember if you are going to use the "copy" and "Paste" function in your edit button at the top of the page at Firefox you are going to have to have at least 2 windows open at the same time in order to "copy" from one window and to "Paste" to another window all while in the "Compose" at blogger.com at your site in at least one of the windows.

Also, the easiest way to give credit to whose stuff you are quoting is to either put a URL or a Word Button so people can visit themselves where you got this information.

And I either usually use:

Begin quote from:

End quote from:

or

Partial quote from:

To denote when I am giving credit to the author or website where this came from.

Good luck with your website if that is what you want to do!

Also, do not give personal information about yourself. For example, my older daughter only gives the state she is in and not even the city in her blogs for safety whereas I give usually a large metropolitan area for my location but not the specific city or suburb. I also don't give my middle or last name. This protects you especially in a world wide blog like blogspot (blogger.com is) basically blogger.com goes anywhere that Google Goes worldwide at this point. So, I have a worldwide audience of well over 2 million views so far.

So, good luck with your blog.

Also, are you writing for yourself (to heal yourself or to let out your anger?) or are you writing to help others survive their lives? It's true you can do both but unless you are helpful to people likely not many people are going to visit your site. This is good to know and takes many people a long time to understand this.

Have a Great Day!
