Hummingbirds fly okay even in a 20 mph crosswind

They fly differently from other birds and move their wings in a figure 8 pattern that creates lift going both directions when their wings flap. Since the wings beat 80 times a second they can compensate for 20 mph cross wind hitting them while still feeding at a flower which is amazing when you think about it.

Also, they pollinate flowers in much the same way bees do. So, one way to look at hummingbirds is that they are like big bees pollinating all the flowers they drink nectar from.
